Shortly after the arrival of the famous virus in Colombia, and the strict quarantine was carried out, red rags began to appear on the windows and doors of homes in the most remote and marginalized areas of Bogotá and Colombia, just like a flag symbolizing help, hunger and lack of resources to have a decent life.
Many of these families were left without job, there was no exception with migrants, victims of displacement, disabled people, ethnic groups, no one could escape the crisis, unemployment figures drastically grew by 10.7% during the months in which who were immersed in quarantine, and according to the IPM (Multidimensional Poverty Index) the figures went from 4.1% to 7.1%, leaving the calculation of around 233,000 more people in conditions of poverty since the beginning of the health crisis caused by Covid -19.
